OTHER NEWS:

Martin Blow, from Plant Hunters' Fairs, said the venue has been a long-standing go-to for their events and hopes to see more coming this month.

He said: “The plant fairs at Cholmondeley Castle Gardens have become firm favourites in garden lovers’ diaries.

“This year we have a wonderful line-up of more than 30 nurseries and garden accessories with plants to suit novice gardeners as well as those rarer gems for the plant connoisseur.

“There will be plants of the moment for instant impact as well as later-blooming species to get planted now for a succession of colour.

“If you need some advice to help you choose the nursery folk are happy to help, each an expert in their field with years of knowledge and experience, and full of helpful tips.”

Martin added that the event is a chance for people to enjoy the fresh air at the gardens, which offer much more for the visitors coming to the event.

He said: “The gardens at Cholmondeley Castle will be bursting with spring colour and full of inspiration for your own garden.

“There is always something new to see and lots to explore.

“Visitors can enjoy the tranquil and romantic Temple and Folly Water Gardens, Glade, Arboretum and ornamental woodland.

“Tower Hill offers the opportunity to enjoy a woodland ramble amongst interesting shrubs and trees.

“You can also wander the historic Parkland and walk around the Deer Park Mere nature trail to enjoy the tranquil surroundings, wildlife and spectacular views of Cholmondeley Castle itself.”

This fabulous garden and plant fair provides the ideal day out for you and your family and runs from 10am-5pm on Sunday, April 28.
